Boost Your Energy for Summer

Here comes the sun...
Are you making time for yourself and being kind to your body? Summer is for recharging your batteries, not draining them.
It's a familiar feeling for most of us at this time of year, just when we should be enjoying ourselves to the fullest. Spring, the season when everything bursts into life after winter. Fifty shades of green and happy people in pavement cafés mingle with graduation celebrations and the hope of soon buying fresh local strawberries and new potatoes. But amidst all this beauty, the to-do lists pile up, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed. You might even forget you're supposed to be taking a break.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could blend all our obligations with the joy of summer into a perfectly pleasant mix? No matter how you look at it, we still need to take care of ourselves.

Managing everyday life
Summer is a time for recharging our batteries, taking time off, and spending extra moments with friends, children, and family. But things don't always go as planned. It's important to remember that it's okay to ask for help. And it's also okay for the kids to be a little bored sometimes.
Now is the time to truly soak up the warm evenings, enjoy lazy lie-ins, and embrace days with no plans. Make time for yourself and savour that punnet of sun-ripened strawberries right down to the very last one. Pick up that book you've been meaning to read or listen to a recommended podcast. It's perfectly fine not to be constantly achieving, planning, baking, bouncing on the trampoline, or gardening. Try to find a comfortable balance and give yourself some breathing space.

Tips for more energy
The mantra for this summer is to stress less. To have more energy, more stamina, and to feel like you've truly had a chance to enjoy the season. We know it's not always that simple. That's why we've put together a few tips on how you can maximise your energy for the summer, so you can look back on your holiday feeling genuinely rested.
Start your morning right. Boost your body from the get-go with a green smoothie packed with berries and spinach. Add a capsule of turmeric or a defence formula for a little extra self-care.
Set aside time to relax. Finding it hard to unwind? Too many plans for the holiday? It might sound silly, but scheduling time to do absolutely nothing is often a great success. That way, you can't use the excuse of not having time to rest.
Embrace nature. Summer is our best season. Make the most of it by getting out into the woods, soaking up the sunlight, and enjoying time at the beach. Fresh air is your best friend. Just don't forget the sun cream!
Spend time with people who give you good energy. Don't go to that dinner party you don't really want to attend. Do things that make you feel good, with people who create a positive atmosphere. Summer is too short to spend time on things you don't enjoy. This is your time.
Stick to your routines. It's easy for routines to slip during the holidays. Allow yourself an extra hour or two of sleep, but don't forget the daily habits that make you feel good, like that walk in the woods or your morning yoga session.
