Frequently asked questions about Magnesium:
Great question! The numbers can seem a bit complicated, but it's actually very simple. When we say 375 mg on the bottle, we mean the pure, active magnesium – the part your body actually uses! It's not the weight of the entire compound (which of course weighs more, around 750-800 mg per tablet), but the super-mineral itself. So you get the full recommended daily dose of pure magnesium in every pill!
We're glad you asked! We've developed two versions to suit you and your lifestyle. Both the tablets and the capsules give you the same excellent blend of our 7 magnesium forms and the exact same amount of pure magnesium (375 mg). The main difference is that our tablets have been given some extra love in the form of turmeric, black pepper extract (Bioperine®), and vitamin B6 – a dream team that helps to maximise absorption! The capsules are a little 'purer' and contain only the magnesium blend. They're perfect if you have sensitivities, prefer to avoid plant extracts (read more below!), or simply find capsules easier to swallow. The choice is yours!
First of all – congratulations on your baby on the way or your new little family member! Magnesium is great for many things during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but it's important to choose the right version. We strongly recommend choosing our Magnesium in capsule form (or as a powder) or Magnesium Glycinate during this time. This is because our tablets contain extracts of turmeric and black pepper. While these are fantastic for absorption otherwise, it is generally recommended to be cautious with plant extracts during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to a lack of sufficient research. Your safety is the most important thing, so opt for the capsules to be on the safe side!

Magnesium Supplements - For restful sleep and to reduce tiredness and fatigue
If you don't get enough magnesium from your diet, you can take a magnesium food supplement. Our magnesium tablet and magnesium capsule contain 7 different types of magnesium, as well as vitamin B6 and black pepper extract, which contribute to increasing the absorption of magnesium in the body. In other words, it's a mineral for those who exercise and care for their muscles and sleep. If you prefer to take a powder product and mix your food supplement into a drink of your choice, we can recommend our magnesium powder.
What is magnesium good for?
Magnesium contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and to the normal functioning of the nervous system. Magnesium is also important for the maintenance of normal bones, normal muscle function, and normal energy-yielding metabolism. If you don't get enough sleep, or usually don't start each day with a green smoothie, it might be a good idea to add a little extra magnesium.
In our daily lives, factors like stress, exercise, sweating, and high caffeine consumption can increase the body's need for magnesium. That's why many people choose to supplement their diet with magnesium to help maintain a steady balance in the body.
Do I need magnesium?
Magnesium food supplements are great for those who live an active life, or for those who wish to live a more active life but simply lack the energy. Examples of magnesium-rich foods include black beans, spinach, avocado, almonds, and dark chocolate. If you find it difficult to incorporate magnesium-rich foods into your diet, a food supplement can be a good alternative. If you have specific needs in mind, it's also a good idea to look into which forms of magnesium are best suited for you.

Great Earth's magnesium food supplements:
We have created a completely unique formula with 7 different forms of magnesium, carefully selected to provide you with a broad spectrum of benefits. They are designed with Great Earth’s mineral transport system, Portamins, for optimal absorption of minerals in the gastrointestinal tract. Portamins consists of easily soluble and readily absorbable mineral forms such as citrate, gluconate, ascorbate, malate, succinate, and amino acid chelates. The amino acids help transport the minerals into the cells.
Our magnesium tablets and magnesium capsules contain: magnesium oxide, magnesium bisglycinate, magnesium citrate, magnesium malate, magnesium ascorbate, magnesium gluconate, and magnesium succinate. In addition to these, we have also developed magnesium powder and Magnesium Glycinate.
How and when should you take magnesium food supplements?
The need for magnesium can vary depending on lifestyle, stress, and physical activity. Since the body cannot store large amounts of magnesium, the supply needs to be consistent and daily. A food supplement can therefore help maintain stable levels, especially when your lifestyle changes and may require more during certain periods.
