Innovative thinking to reduce waste

Every product company experiences some level of waste, for instance, when labels are misaligned or packaging gets damaged during transport. Since the contents are still intact and unopened, we wanted to avoid unnecessary waste. That's why we launched Save-a-Pill: products with minor external imperfections or a shorter best-before date, clearly marked and offered at a lower price.
2,300 jars saved
Throughout 2022, various issues meant that some products were at risk of being discarded. This could be anything from packaging damaged in transit, to product updates requiring us to clear out the last remaining stock before a switch, or simply products approaching their best-before date. These are all normal occurrences. Through our "Save a Pill" initiative, we successfully saved 2,300 jars, ensuring they reached you, our customers, to be used instead of being thrown away.
How does it work?
In our Save-a-Pill collection, we feature products that, for various reasons, cannot be sold as standard stock but are still perfectly good to use within their specified best-before date. This might be due to external damage to the packaging, an upcoming change in design or formula, or batches that are nearing their best-before date. Instead of discarding them, we give them a new purpose – at a lower price and with clear labelling.
How it works
Same high-quality contents: The product is developed just like our other products, with a focus on quality, efficacy, and sustainability, but may have, for example, a damaged jar/label, be due for discontinuation, or have a shorter date (best-before date).
Everything is unopened & sealed: We only sell intact, unopened products.
Clear information: The best-before date and the reason (e.g., “damaged packaging” or “short date”) are clearly stated on the product page.
Why the price is lower
The price reduction reflects a practical circumstance – not a lower quality of the contents. You get the same declared ingredients at a better price, and we reduce our waste at the same time.
Our goal
We continuously work to plan our purchasing and production as intelligently as possible. However, dents during shipping, design changes, or forecasting errors sometimes occur. When this happens, Save-a-Pill is our way of taking responsibility and ensuring these products are used instead of being thrown away.
