How Anno Prioritises Her Wellbeing in a Hectic Daily Life
How do you really balance a hectic daily life with your own wellbeing? How do you find the time to eat well, exercise, enjoy hobbies, spend time with family, and manage all the daily must-dos? We spoke with Anno Eriksson to discover her secret to balancing wellbeing amidst a stressful daily routine.
As well as being a mother of three, a wife, and a dog owner, Anno is the founder of Shape U Up, a company that helps individuals with training programmes and nutritional advice. She also recently launched the clothing brand WearBalance, which offers stylish and functional activewear. In the midst of it all, Anno has found a great balance in prioritising both her wellbeing and health, despite a hectic schedule.

Anno founded Shape U Up with a vision to make it easy for people to work towards a sustainable and strong body from home. This vision has grown and developed into a team of three women who now coach a wide variety of people on their journey towards balance, allowing life to happen while still working on their health. They currently offer both training programmes and nutrition plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Food supplements as part of a healthy daily routine
For the past 20 years, food supplements have been a natural part of Anno's daily routine. Primarily, magnesium, B vitamins, vitamin D and lactic acid bacteria have been key.
“At times, I've also taken supplements that are somewhat energising when I've had children who weren't sleeping well,” Anno explains. “And after having children, my PMDD has become worse, so my best friend is probably Meno Balance. I also take collagen periodically, but it has become more regular since I approached 40.”
Diet, exercise, and sleep are essential
According to Anno, eating a nutritious diet, prioritising sleep, and staying active are essential for balancing wellbeing in daily life. Although it can feel challenging to achieve with a hectic schedule, there are small steps you can take to prioritise your wellbeing.
Anno's tips for more wellbeing in your daily life
1. Try to maintain a consistent daily rhythm. We often get up at roughly the same time, so try to go to bed at the same time too.
2. Don't take your phone to bed to reduce the risk of five minutes of scrolling turning into thirty.
3. Figure out how many hours of sleep you need and add about 30 minutes around bedtime, so your wind-down time doesn't cut into your sleep.
4. Add rather than subtract from your plate. Include more greens in your meals and prioritise nutritious food to feel both full and satisfied.
5. Learn to distinguish between a craving from your body and one from your mind. If it's a physical craving, you've probably eaten too little. If it's from your mind, you need to work on breaking habits and patterns.
6. Set reasonable expectations for your exercise. If you're not very active right now, set realistic goals to help you maintain the habit long-term.
7. Take advantage of the free help available. Set aside 20 minutes for a workout on YouTube, or download an app that can suggest simple exercises.
