Why Yummies?
It's quite obvious that children need good food to grow and develop. But WHAT DO YOU DO when they categorically refuse to eat vegetables and anything that doesn't go with ketchup? Every child is different, and there are no one-size-fits-all answers. Each parent needs to find their own way to foster a healthy relationship with food and nutrition with their children. To help out and ensure our little ones get essential vitamins and minerals, even during those 'pasta-only' phases, we've developed our supplements for children. With four tasty gummies for four different needs, our children's gummies are packed to the brim with what kids need to grow up big and strong!

Food and nutrition don't have to be difficult
As parents, we have two important callings when it comes to our children's relationship with food. The first is to ensure they eat good, nutritious food so they can grow, develop, and discover the world. The second is to instil good eating habits and a joy for food. Eating food that contains important nutrients for the body should be fun! But we know it's not always easy to make broccoli sound as exciting as ice cream. That's why, in addition to our four supplements for children, we've put together our best tips and tricks on how to talk about food with your child, and how you can create fun, healthy routines together with positive associations for all food, whether it's spinach or chocolate.

How to get your child to eat more greens
How do we get our children to look enthusiastically at carrots, broccoli, and cucumber? By creating positive associations with all types of food, and finding the fun in giving the body the nutrition it needs to have the energy to play, be mischievous, and grow.

Vitamin D Kids
Finding it hard to catch those sunny hours? During the winter months, a lot of play and fun moves indoors, and the opportunity to get a little sun on your nose becomes smaller. Vitamin D Kids is a vitamin D supplement in a gummy format with an orange flavour. Vitamin D is needed for the normal growth and development of bone in children and contributes to the normal function of the immune system in children.

Vegan and with no added sugar
When we created our Yummies, it was important for us to develop a product that only contains what children need to grow and feel good. That's why we chose to make our children's supplements completely vegan and with no added sugar. Instead, our Yummies contain FOS for sweetness. FOS (fructooligosaccharides) is a type of carbohydrate that acts as a dietary fibre. The supplements also contain only natural colours and flavours. No hocus pocus – just great supplements!

It starts with you
Your child does as you do, not as you say. If you turn your nose up at fruit and vegetables, your child will too. By setting an example, eating plenty of fruit and veg, and talking about what you enjoy about them and why they're important, your child will get on board.
Make vegetables fun!
Vegetables often become a negative thing when they're seen as something you *have* to eat. Things you have to do are rarely fun. So, try making it enjoyable instead. Create a buffet with lots of fruit and vegetables where your child can help prepare. Serve fruit and veg in the same way you'd serve dessert – as something to look forward to.

Hide vegetables in their food
Let's be honest, sometimes you have to resort to a few clever tricks. No matter how much you talk, explain, and try to make it fun, children have a will of their own. For those times when they absolutely refuse to eat fruit and vegetables, try hiding them in their food! Grate carrots into mince, mix cauliflower rice with regular rice, or roast vegetables and blend them into a delicious pasta sauce.
Involve the children
If children get to help prep the vegetables for dinner or the fruit for a snack, it immediately becomes more fun and exciting to eat! Use cookie cutters to make fun shapes out of fruit, or have a competition to see who can eat the most carrot sticks. Let your child's imagination be part of eating vegetables and focus on the experience rather than the obligation.

Create routines together
Our Yummies for children are also available in an adult version. Why not take the opportunity to create a wellness routine together with your child? Talking about food and nutrition becomes much more fun when you do it together. And your mini-me sees you as their biggest role model. So when you take care of yourself and show an interest in your well-being, your child will follow suit.
With a shared wellness routine, you can build a healthy relationship with food together, while also ensuring you both get your daily dose of important vitamins and minerals. A win-win, we think!
